Benefits of Giving

Restricted and Unrestricted Donations are Vital
Just how does your gift to The Phi Mu Delta Educational Foundation directly benefit your chapter? It’s a fair question that we hear often! The answers illustrate the tremendous potential for alumni to support the Fraternity in a way that underscores their belief in the Greek System and their desire to help their own chapter at the same time!

Pooling Our Talents and Charitable Resources
The National Fraternity provides many services that chapters typically find difficult to provide themselves. The Sapphire Leadership Academy , President’s Academy , The Oracle: New Member Education and Membership Development Program, Hazing-prevention educational resources , alcohol-education programming and The Vision: Strategic Planning and Chapter Standards Program are but a few of the materials funded through the Foundation. Undergraduate brothers are working hard to graduate and alumni volunteers face the daily challenges of earning a living and raising a family. All depend upon the National Fraternity to develop and administer useful programming to make their involvement in Phi Mu Delta more fulfilling.

Your unrestricted charitable gifts to the Educational Foundation make these leadership programs possible. And, through your support, brothers from your chapter are better equipped for life after college and more capable of perpetuating your chapter for future generations to enjoy.

Chapter-Restricted Sub-Accounts
What happens when your chapter needs financial support outside of the scope of leadership training? You have probably heard The Phi Mu Delta Educational Foundation has the ability to host restricted chapter sub-accounts that can be granted for educational needs at the chapter level, such as academic scholarships, computers, high-speed computer networks and chapter house libraries.

Local alumni associations and/or housing corporations may use this tool to help their own chapter. Because these sub-account funds are administered as part of the Educational Foundation, you may still earn a charitable income tax deduction for your gift.

At this time, the following local chapter sub-accounts have been established:

  • Mu Zeta - Lock Haven University

Direct Benefits: The One-Two Punch of Restricted and Unrestricted Giving
The Educational Foundation offers two ways for you to support your chapter—unrestricted gifts for educational resources and leadership training, and chapter-restricted sub-accounts for individual chapter educational needs. Both approaches are vital to each chapter’s success.

We offer our deep appreciation for your continued generosity and support of the Educational Foundation. With your help, we are providing, "Excellence Through Education,” for the college men of today!
